DESCRIPTION
WHAT IS SYNTHROID?
Synthroid is a hormone of thyroid gland and produced in the laboratory conditions. This is a pharmacological analogue of the human hormone of the thyroid gland used for the treatment and/or prevention of hypothyroidism.
Unlike hormones of the thyroid gland of the animal origin, Synthroid is better tolerated and does not cause side effects, and it costs by several times cheaper.
USE AND DOSE OF SYNTHROID
The pills of Synthroid are taken orally with enough water. The pills should be used in the morning hours, this way it is better absorbed.
The daily dose of Synthroid depends on several factors: age, sex of a patient, concentration of hormones of the thyroid gland and size of the tumor. After complex medical examination, a doctor will prescribe a dose which will reduce the tumor.
